Global spatial narrative design
Trigger has created signature projects communicating Australian art, narratives and perspectives in Europe and Asia. We designed an innovative exhibition about Sydney Harbour called ‘Aqueous Landscapes’ for the Shanghai Urban Space Art Season Festival for the University of NSW South Wales. We worked closely with artist Tracy Moffatt, to develop design materials for her exhibition ‘Tracey Moffatt My Horizon’ at the Venice Biennale. We designed a set made completely of rope, for Singapore Dance Theatre’s ‘Oneiros’, a ballet which premiered at the Durian Centre, Singapore.
Future History: Award-winning approach to heritage
Trigger’s nuanced approach to interpreting heritage in contemporary ways has earned multiple awards. We have been awarded National Trust Heritage Awards for research, strategic work, curation, design and implementation. The following projects have been Heritage Award winners: Toorale National Park Interpretation Strategy; Hill End Historic Site Heritage Centre and its permanent exhibition, ‘Alchemy: the Lustre of Hill End’; and ‘Our Story’ exhibition for the Sisters of Mercy in adaptively reused ‘Stormanston House’, North Sydney. Our installation in adaptively reused historic buildings and reimagined landscape interpretation at ’The Dairy Precinct’, located in World Heritage-listed Parramatta Park, was highly commended for at the Australian Interior Design Awards.
